Dynamic Cross-Flow Filtration
In dynamic cross-flow filtration a flow tangential to the filter is induced to prevent blocking of the membrane. Among other applications this method is used for the purification of proteins for pharmaceutical purpose. The aim of the project is to investigate the processes within the system, as well as the forces acting on the proteins, because the possibility of product degradation exists at the required separation speeds.
