Florian Kaiser, M.Sc.

  • Research assistant

I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Bioengineering at KIT. For my Master's thesis, conducted at the LBRG, I focused on Fluid–structure interaction with Lattice Boltzmann methods. Afterwards, I began my PhD research on Solving transport problems in process engineering using monolithic approaches.

Research Interests

  • Fluid-Structure Interaction with lattice Boltzmann methods
  • Utilizing synthetic LBM training data to train AI-based surrogate models towards predicting the energy consumption of HVAC systems

Theses

Ongoing

  • Developing AI-Based Surrogate Models to Predict Energy Consumption in Indoor Climate Systems Using Lattice Boltzmann Simulation Data
